Paul asks…
Where can I get chocolate molds? (Sacramento)?
I need a place with cheap chocolate/candy molds. I cannot order online.

Susie answers:
Michael’s arts and crafts store has a decent selection to choose from as well as the candy/ chocolate.

John asks…
chocolate recipe for candy molds?
i know how to melt chocolate, what i dont know is what type of chocolate to use for candy molds?
can i get milk chocolate chips and melt those? or is there an actual recipe to the chocolate you use for the molds???

Susie answers:
Chocolate chips will work but you must add about 1/4 cup grated paraffin to them to make them work best.
Use the Chocolate Bark that is meant for melting and coating stuff. Melt according to instructions and coat the molds with it. Then fill the chocolate molds.

Ruth asks…
How can I make my OWN chocolate MOLDS?
I don’t mean to buy candy molds and pour chocolate into them, i actually mean make my own.
In terms of silicone, where can I buy the putty? coz I live all the way in New Zealand…(which you prolly dont kno where it is?)
Also, i REALLY wanna know if there is a way to make a mold without silicone, like with melted plastic or something.
many many thanks in advance!!!

Susie answers:
Buy a mould maker!
Thats what I use!

Mark asks…
How can I prevent my chocolate mold coming out of the mold without cracking?
I am making chocolate candy molds that are in the shape of a box with a lid. However, when I attempt to remove them from the mold, often it is breaking and cracking. Any suggestions?

Susie answers:
You can very, very lightly oil the mold before pouring the chocolate in. And you can add a small amount of paraffin to the chocolate and that will make it stronger….also make sure when you fill the molds that you do not leave any air bubbles in it. An air bubble would make a weak spot and let the chocolate crack.

Sharon asks…
I want to make exotic looking chocolate but i cant find the molding or who make candy molds Where can i start

Lisa asks…
Should I be mad that he didn’t get me anything?
Today I gave my boyfriend his Valentines present. 2 giant lolipops, a BIG HEART chocolate box, a bag of hershy kisses, and a medium size box of those heart candies with sayings on them. I have been saving my money for WEEKS just to get him all that stuff. I gave it to him today. But he didn’t give me anything, he said he was broke. I got a little depressed because at first I didnt really care, then I saw everyone with balloons and flowers and I got a little sad and jealous because Valentines Day is my favorite Holiday because of chocolate. But he didnt get me anything :/
I thought he could’ve at least made me something..I was sad all day.
Should I be mad?

Susie answers:
Yes you do have a reason to be a little angry at the fact he didn’t get you anything. I mean you did save up all your money and showed effort. But hey, at least it’s only valentine’s day and life goes on. If you are still upset, just come clean and tell him your feelings and how it hurt you. Goodluck and happy valentine’s

Mandy asks…
What is the meanest thing someone has ever said to you?
For me
This girl who i thought was my friend .. and another girl who for sure was a friend anyways .. for valentines days our teacher gave us like a handful of those heart candies with those sayings on it anyways.. i jokingly took it and ate it we laughed .. Only for fun! And then the girl who i thought was my friend said “Heyy .. no wonder no one likes you!” and i automatically just walked out of the classroom (It was after school) and went home and they followed lol..
I might have been in the wrong but there were like 20 candies left .. i took one!
So anyways .. people have said mean things but that one always hits me.
what about you?

Susie answers:
Once I looked at my friend (who I thought was my friend) then said casually that Her eyes looked like she hated me.
Then she said “my eyes do tell the truth “and walked away with all my other friends following her cuz they believe in popularity. She was popular.

Thomas asks…
Great idea with beer, but i need some help?
So for Valentines Day i am going to do this HUGE thing for my boyfriend.. but there is a part i need help with…
instead of giving him those nasty candy hearts with the cute sayings on them.. im going to get him his favorite beer!! & write cute sayings on them..
i will probably just do a 6 pack of corona since there is so much other stuff..
please anything would be great! [yes i thought of this all on my own ]
something i was thinking was like “your hott” or maybe something funny but cute.. ya kno? cuz im the biggest DORK..
thank you in advance!
his favorite beer IS corona! lol
And i was thinking of using Sharpee or paint pen to write it on the bottles.

Susie answers:
Id say something sappy like
i love you, always and forever
or the date you started dating
orrr write an inside joke
or a pet name,
like “will you be my valentine _____”
or something like, meet me here at this time
anytthing that he would like

Steven asks…
what should i get my boyfriend for valentines day?
we are both 13.
he said he is giving me half of mine tomorrow then the rest on saturday. it kinda confused me but yeah.. okay and i wanted to get him something cute but not to over the top. i had a few ideas so far..
1.
making a homemade card with candy hearts in side that are glued on saying like i love you and stuff. then buying a big hershy kiss. then to top it off maybe break our makeout record haha.
2.
buying a little red box and writing i love you on the top. then putting a box of candy hearts inside with scraps of paper with cute sayings and flirty writing on the paper. then maybe to break our makeout record.
do you like these ideas.. and do you have any ideas?

Susie answers:
Well you could make or get him a teddy bear im also 13 and 2morrow
friday is our v-day dance! Or u could get him chocolates!
~nya!

Linda asks…
How to plan a dance for highschool students? (Valentines Day)?
I want a Valentine‘s Day dance at my school but no one in student council is really coming up with any ideas. I was thinking like we have a “heart and kisses” theme with food. Like Hershey kisses and hearted shaped cookies. Even those candies that have those awesome sayings. I want to put like teddy bears with hearts on the tables around the snacks and beverages. Do you know where I can get like a modern teen love song slow dance like play-list list? I also was some funky popular songs that are played at other dances? What are some contests you think that can be thrown? I was thinking hoola hooping or limbo. Do you have anymore romantic but appropiate for school ideas? I also was thinking like pictures but that may cost too much. My teacher wants a formal but hardly anyone shows up to formals in my school. What are some methods my student council could sell tickets? I go to a small school with less that 100 ppl in all four classes. I really want to make it a dance to remember but the ones we held last year lost the school money. I want to do like a cupid arrow award also, but I don’t think it will be that big of a hit. What do you think? The arrow could go to like cutest couple.

Susie answers:
Cut out the games and cupid awards and you should be fine. It kinda sounds middle schoolish with the games.no offense

Paul asks…
Christmas candy ideas?
I always make Christmas candy for gifts, but I’m tired of making the same ol’ same ol’. I usually do chocolate covered pretzels, fudge, sugar cookies, turtles, buck eyes (peanut butter balls), and haystack candy (with chow mein noodles).
What else can I make?

Susie answers:
ANGEL SWEETS
1 (6 oz.) pkg. Chocolate chips
1 c. Sifted powdered sugar
2 c. Miniature marshmallows
2 tbsp. Butter
1 egg
1 c. Chopped pecans
1/2 c. Flaked coconut
Melt chocolate and butter over low heat. Remove from heat. Blend in egg. Stir in powdered sugar, nuts, and marshmallows. Blend well. Shape in 1 inch balls; roll in coconut. Freeze or refrigerate. Yield: About 3 1/2 dozen.

Lisa asks…
Anyone having chocolate withdrawl because they ate up all the Christmas candy?
Just healthy food in the house. BORING. I miss the Christmas goodies.

Susie answers:
No, I’ve still got some goodies left from Christmas !
I am slowly eating them, plus my birthday is the 18th January
which is just far enough to not get pressies lumped together, and I’ve got some more to eat as well…….

Richard asks…
can you give me some really good christmas candy/cookie recipes??
something thats not to hard to make but screams christmas and yummy.
just whatever you got, not looking for anything specific.
thanks!

Susie answers:
Almond Sugar Cookies
1 cup butter, (no substitutes), softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon almond extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Additional sugar
GLAZE:
1 cup confectioners’ sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons almond extract
2 to 3 teaspoons water
Green food coloring, optional
Sliced almonds, toasted
In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in almond extract. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Roll into 1-in. Balls. Place 2 in. Apart on ungreased baking sheets. Coat bottom of a glass with cooking spray; dip in sugar. Flatten cookies with prepared glass, dipping glass in sugar again as needed. Bake at 400° for 7-9 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool for 1 minute before removing to wire racks.
In a small bowl, whisk together the confectioners’ sugar, almond extract and enough water to achieve glaze consistency. Tint with food coloring if desired; drizzle over cookies. Sprinkle with almonds.
Cookie Dough Truffles
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1-1/2 pounds semisweet candy coating, chopped
In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the flour, milk and vanilla; mix well. Stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts. Shape into 1-in. Balls; place on waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Loosely cover and refrigerate for 1-2 hours or until firm.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt candy coating, stirring often until smooth. Dip balls in coating; place on waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Refrigerate until firm, about 15 minutes. If desired, remelt remaining candy coating and drizzle over candies. Store in the refrigerator. They can also be frozen. Sooooo good.

James asks…
What is your favorite Christmas candy or sweet?
I love Christmas, but I would like your opinions!

Susie answers:

Sharon asks…
How can I make an 8 year old girl sleepover really fun?
I don’t have a lot of money for the sleepover. It is going to be a Chocolate spa party unless someone can give me a better idea. Here are some of the activities I have planned.
1. Make Chocolate facial masks. I found an online recipe for it.
2. Decorate Flip Flops
3. Make bead bracelets
4. Hide chocolate candy‘s outside and give each kid a flashlight and have them search for them in the dark. I have a fenced in backyard so it will be safe.
5.Bake brownies or something and let the kids decorate.
6. I have a chocolate fountain so the kids will get to use it.
7. Do make-up and nails
8.Watch movies at bedtime.
I think I may have to many crafts and I want to make sure each kid has fun. I would love some suggestions for different activities or even a different theme with activities.
Who’s michelle phan?

Susie answers:
We did that for our daughters 9th. She was so excited.
We invested like A LOT, but to see the smile on
her face and her friends, it was worth it.
I think those activities are too much. Ask your daughter to ask friends what they like out of those activities.
Every girl would think your party is fun.
I think you should like have a fashion show. Each girl can bring clothing and accessories and they can trade.
They would put on the clothing and they would walk down a run way. You can film it or take pictures and put it with
the “thank- you” cards.
I think #4 is too much, though they are safe.
#5 is too much chocolate with the fountian.
I think #3 doesnt have to do anything with the theme.
Here are my choices:
#1- Get bananas and use them like cucumbers.
#2- That is awesome. Ask for sizes.
#6- It is like the best thing ever for them.
#7- I did that during the spa part of my daughters party.
#8- Awesome.
For the spa part- Get bins and fill it with chocolate. They can soak their feet in it.
Do the mask, get bananas for their eyes.
Get those nails where you glue them and get several colors of nail polish and let them paint their nails.
We did all of those activities and a little more.
We also got t-shirts and we got one of those things and you iron it on, on the shirt and it says different things. We had things like: Chocolate Princess! Or Keep Your Hands off of my chocolate and other things. We had it in chocolate colored!
Happy Birthday!

Jenny asks…
If I just take Cacao instead of dark choclate as touted, isnt that healthier?
As choclate is mostly fat and sugar, both bad for the diet, doesnt that make sense?
I think the “eat dark chocolate” hype is a marketing ploy by the candy companies.
A lot of savory recipes call for chocolate, particulary from South America, and its easy to sprinkle in the cacao, plus on any other food you prepare or cook, including your weeties or whatever in the morning.
Does that make sense?
Or are I missing something?

Susie answers:
I had the chance to drink some hot chocolate which we made ourselves from roasted cacao beans when I was in Costa Rica two years ago, and it had so much caffeine in it (which gets greatly reduced in commercial processing) it was almost scary. It was low sugar, but it still was like rocket fuel. For anyone who is sensitive to caffeine or who has to avoid it, raw cacao could be a bad idea.

David asks…
Calling all the creative sweet toothed foodies out there?
Hey all, I need help coming up with a decadent name for this sinful cherry chocolate cake dessert Im tweaking. In the past its been “death by cherries and chocolate” but as Im tweaking it to be more for the adults I need those creative minds to give me a bit of a boost. So here’s the run down of what the recipe is so you get the idea of whats in it and let your minds flow. Thank you in advance I no matter how silly a name please share. I don’t give thumbs down and please keep in mind its got to be subtle enough to still be kinda innocent but still really mean something when the Adults order it. Hugs all
Devils food cake- made from a box if your in a time crunch Betty Crocker brand
Kirschwasser is a fruit brandy made from cherries- Gently brushed in between each layer of the cake before the rich butter cream is added
Dark chocolate butter cream with shavings of milk chocolate before the next layer
These are alternating layers where there will be 6 total. They are thin layers of cake and thick layers of butter cream. The topping is a thin layer of cherry butter cream with chunks of sweet cherries lightly soaked in Kirschwasser to keep them moist. Then another light layer of chocolate butter cream. Set in the refridegerator for 2 hours til all set then remove and ladle on a large amount of milk chocolate Ganache to seal all the flavors in together. Once all has set to a firm but still cutable texture. You place on a white platter decorated with candied violets and rose petals with small groups of the same cherries in sugar to accent the whole cake and make more appealing.
You will never guess where they wanted to put this..lol in Botany. But be the sugared flowers..lol
grrr fingers are all sticky with chocolate sorry for the misspellings
” takes a spoonful of butter cream and flicks the spoon at msjantastic, darling always being healthy is fine and dandy but some times a little bit of sinfulness in a dessert is ok too. Besides its Valentines day live a little or you will go thru life sucking on lemons and no one likes a sourpuss

Sweet 16 I’m so excited but I still have a couple things to figure out! So please help?
First off, let me start by saying what I’ve already got planed out.
My budget: $400. $500 at the most!!
The place: A teen club (I’m renting it out)
The date: The exact day of my b-day (Because it’s a Saturday(: perfect)
The theme: Crazy funky neon, glow in the dark partayyy lol
Dress, you ask? http://www.quinceaneradresses.biz/lovely-ball-gown-strapless-floor-length-appliques-fuchsia-quinceanera-dresses-x61302-p-2233.html (I wanted it to be funky yet classy and ball gown-ish. lol
The time: 8:00pm – 12:00 am
Food: PIZZA!! (It’s gonna be little ceasars so its only $5 each!)Cupcakes, lots of different candy and chocolate, virgin drinks, and strawberry and nuttella wontons If you don’t know what they are look at this; http://www.lifesambrosia.com/2009/04/strawberry-and-nutella-wontons-recipe.html
Entertainment: GLOW STICKS!!! Dancing, music, food….But I cant think of much else for this category
Entrance: this I still don’t know and I’ve been planing this for practically three years now.
So here’s what I still need help on; What should I do for an entrance, and do you have any more ideas for entertainment. Keep the budget in mind!
OMG MORGAN!! I totally thought of doing that whole thing even the rockstar part Wow. I love you. haha. Alright not really but I just think thats cool how you thought of that to.

Susie answers:
Wow your party sounds amazing as for entrance I’m a really simple kind of person and I think maybe if you have someone turn off all the lights and music at the same time then a personal theme song of your choosing (something like Rockstar by Rihanna) comes on than you walk in through the doors with a spotlight on you. As for other entertainment does this place come with a D.J.? If not I would suggest you hire a local one because that’s the only other entertainment I really think you would need.
I really hope this helps, hope you have an amazing party!! And Happy early Birthday!!!

Richard asks…
What are your thoughts of my Halloween story?
Haunted Sofia
By Jeremy V
Sofia LeCope, is a pretty seventeen year old girl with dark almond colored hair. Her eyes are dark as well. Sofia attends Swannee Lake high school in Salem , Massachusetts. It is about forty -five minutes away from the famous place where witches were burned at the stakes. Some townspeople nowadays say they have seen sightings and felt weird presences of something evil in the very wild ,history rich town. In History class one day, Sofia and other classmates received invitations to a Halloween house party to be held at the Mansion like home of their History teacher ,Mr. Amity.
Seventeen years earlier, Maxwell LeCope and Monica Natalia( Sofia’s parents), had sexual intercourse on the property where the Salem witches were burned at the stakes. The spirits of those witches have been scrambling and wandering around in Purgatory, because they have unfinished business here on Earth. One evil spirit of a beautiful woman named Julia, warped herself into young Monicas’ pretty exposed vagina while she was resting from an intense session of sexual intercourse with her steady boyfriend, Maxwell LeCope. Monica did feel a cold draft come over her naked, beautiful body at the time of sex but she thought it was because of a cool, fall night . The evil spirit, Julia, would eventually rest herself in Mrs LeCopes’ stomach until a baby named Sofia was born. As Sofia was being conceived, Monica, her mother remembers having visions of beautiful females in black robes and witch hats being burned by angry men. She kept these visions to herself until they became overwhelming for her and apparent to her other family members. Mr. and Mrs. LeCope went to see psychiatrists, doctors, and priests when their daughter was five years old but to no avail. In school, other children in Sofias’ class complained of being punched, pinched, slapped, tripped , among other violent tactics used by the young pretty LeCope.
Twelve years later ……….. Sofia LeCope is a very beautiful seventeen year old girl at Swannee Lake High school. Wild, rebellious, and very hard to control she becomes a nuisance for her hard working, rich parents. In fact, for one year she would spend her days in a juvenile detention center for beating up a female classmate, who almost died from her injuries!! While at the center , Sofia would be reformed but not for very long. The Halloween party invitation she received would be a recipe for disaster. The night of the party came quick , before they knew it, Sofia and classmates were arriving at Mr. Amitys’ huge home. It was decorated with Evil but also some half smirking Halloween decorations. Glass bowls , dishes, metal containers were all over flowing with delicious sweets such as candy corn, Mars Bars, and other tasty name brand candy!! The gigantic dining room had fancy , candlelit tables but also plenty of room for dancing. The party got moving with some dancing and mingling among the co-eds. Then the food was served by waiters and waitresses that were hired by Mr Amity. Steak, baked potatoes, and mixed vegetables were the main entrees’ . Fish and chicken tenders were available for substitutes of the steak. Sofia chose the steak since she has never been a vegetarian. All the guests ate a very good meal and were resting when the music started playing loudly again. One teen girl and boy sneaked off outside the house to smoke cigarettes in between make –out sessions. Other teens were dancing again, while one guy shoveled some candy down his throat since he did not consume any chocolate mousse pie for dessert. This guy actually made advances on some girls at Swannee Lake high and was accused of raping two of them while at a party. He was never charged with rape so no one knows what really happened except himself and the girls involved! Sofia LeCope knew about all of this since the two girls raped were her good friends. Good beats and rhythmic songs kept booming out of the sound system, making people dance funky !! Halloween spooky songs like the Monster Mash were played as well. At this time, the alleged sex offender teen, who was now chewing on a Mars bar while twisting and shouting , suddenly started to choke. Sofia noticed this and went over to see what was wrong. His hands were cross over his throat and he was gasping for air . She asked “ Are you choking?” the teen nodded his red face up and down. So then she started to do the Heimlich Maneuver. She took her sexy palms and thrusted upward on the guys stomach. Five good thrusts forced the Mars bar piece out of his throat. Suddenly, something horrible came over Sofia, she was being taken over fully by Julia, the evil spirit from long ago. Sofia continued pumping the boys stomach over and over again. She then switched to punching the abdomen with her first two pretty knuckles till it was red and tender. The teenager began to scream and moan for help. Other classmates tried rescuing him
from Sofias’ wrath with no success. Sofia enjoyed beating the guy who raped her two good girl friends in the past. The teenage boys shirt had ripped off exposing his bare body. An angry looking Sofia again started to take her fists and pummel the teens belly again, but this time also struck his chest and private parts too. At the same time, other classmates were beaten for trying to help their friend escape. A big bang and lots of fog that came out of nowhere seemed to signal all the ghosts of the past to awaken. The Salem witches spirits that is. Sofia had a spirit hold up a female student so she could punch her in the pelvic area . She then moved back to assaulting the teenage boy with her fists. She kept punching like a boxer would , alternating fists till the boy started puking. He fell from a standing position landing on his back. Sofia jumped on his chest a few times then on his abdomen a bunch more with all her 115 pound weight. She totally flattened his severely
Please do not steal my story either… I already have it Patented in my name anyways but just saying !!
bruised belly. He had to be in a lot of pain!! The sight of this brought girl classmates to his side to comfort him and one girl called 9-1-1. Guy classmates finally tackled Sofia and held her down until police came to the big mansion. Sofia was growling and screaming loudly like Linda Blairs’ character in the The Exorcist !!! The evil spirit, Julia, launched herself out of Sofias’ screaming mouth , which in turn made her hosts’ beautiful female body go limp and unconscious to the floor. The teenage boy, who was beaten did not make it because of too many blows to the abdomen, died from his wounds a few days later. As for Sofia, she awoke out of her unconscious state and was rehabiliatated back to health by nurses. She was never charged with the death of the teen boy at the Halloween party because classmates and other unidentified witnesses testified in court that Sofia had been taken over by evil spirits. She was found not guilty.
Ten years later, at age twenty seven,

Esther price makes fat free which isn’t quite low fat, but no sugar, read your labels, some chocolate is lower in fat than others, but russell stover also makes some sugar free, good luck, and good eating.

First Joke,,,,,,,hahahah or boo!!!??? star for hahaha pls?
A man with a bald head and a wooden leg gets invited to a hallowe’en party. He doesn’t know what costume to wear to hide his head and his leg so he writes to a fancy dress company to explain the problem.
A few days later he receives a parcel with a note. “Dear Sir, please find enclosed a pirates outfit. The spotted handkerchief will cover your bald head and with your wooden leg you will be just right as a pirate.”
The man thinks this is terrible because they have just emphasized his wooden leg and so he writes a really rude letter of complaint.
A week passes and he receives another parcel and a note which says: “Dear Sir, sorry about before, please find enclosed a monks habit. The long robe will cover your wooden leg and with your bald head you will really look the part.”
Now the man is really annoyed since they have gone from emphasizing his wooden leg to emphasizing his bald head and he writes the company a scathing letter of complaint.
The next day he receives a small parcel and a note which reads: “Dear Sir, please find enclosed a jar of caramel. Pour the jar of caramel over your bald head, stick your wooden leg up your azs and go as a candy apple!”

Susie answers:
Star for you and thnx for the laugh.
Hahaha,10/10.

Mark asks…
Cookie bar?
I am thinking of doing a cookie bar along with my candy bar. I was thinking of doing brownies and diffrent cookies in jars and having boxes to fill (They are all from a company called Vosgues). I was thinking;
Bianca Cookie
White chocolate + coconut + lavender flowers + Australian lemon myrtle
Caramel Toffee Cookie
Made with special bits of Bapchi’s Caramel Toffee, without nuts.
Costa Rican Cookie
single origin Costa Rican dark chocolate chips
Naga Cookie
sweet Indian curry + fresh coconut + pumpkin purée + Woolloomooloo milk chocolate chips
Red Fire Cookie
Mexican ancho & chipotle chillies + Ceylon cinnamon + cocoa powder + dark chocolate
Arriba Nib Brownies
A brouhaha of dense chocolate spun with the added crunch of Ecuadorian Arriba cocoa nibs
Do you think this is a good idea? Would you enjoy it? I figured the brownies are normal, and 2 of the cookies, so those guests who aren’t too adventurous would enjoy them. And those that like to try new things (c)
had a variety of options. Also the Bianca and Naga cookies I think would be a hit with our Indian guests..
Its more as a favor. And as its an indian wedding I was told cake isn’t very common. They will be serving indian pastry that I have a feeling my half of the guests (italian) may not enjoy.
It is really sweet of you to be concerned! I am being sincere not sarcastic (I just hate how I can’t convey emotion on here)
But it should be said we are actually having two weddings. This one is a Hindu affair in his parents backyard the week before our large wedding He is a very kind man and honestly lets me get whatever I want. But I saw no need for two wedding cakes.
^^ That was to FIZZYGURL^^

Susie answers:
Italians (at least the one’s here in the Northeast) expect a Venetian Table (don’t call it a cookie bar). It is almost a requirement at every Italian wedding. Here in Connecticut I think that they would have you arrested if you didn’t have one.
….and they had better be Italian cookies, or Aunt Lucille and Aunt Tina will hang you out to dry.

Donna asks…
HELP! Gross!!! what can I do???
Ok just bought a candy from place I work, its called a “Toffifay” comes in a pack of 4, 4 chocolates with a hazelnut in the center and caramel on the outside.Well I love these things, I just bought one.Ate the first choclate fine noticed on the second on some small brown thing on the next one in the pack.It was a dead baby moth of some sort. and there was some silky webbing stuff in the rest of the pack as well as a larval cocoon or egg on the inside of the wrapper itself! WHAT THE HELL??? Im seriously grossed out. What could I do could I sue the manufactures of this company since the package WAS un-opened so it had to of come from the factory like this.
Seriously isn’t there some sort of Sanitary standard these places are supposed to follow in order to operate???
*besides you cant prove it was unopened* Huh you make a valid point Frank.Well please tell me im not the only one this has ever happened to.If there is an average indeed of 6 insect legs in every chocolate bar LMAO!
Kana You just made me NEVER want to eat ever again!

Susie answers:
A chocolate bar, on average, has 6 insect legs. Theyre high in protein! Dont even bother trying to sue them. Even if you win, the lawyer/gas/time cost will be higher than the payout. Besides you cant prove it was unopened

Paul asks…
girls what do you think of my character, im writting a novel.?
this is the introduction of my heroine. do you think she sounds stuck up?
it is not my intention. tell me your thoughts.
most people like to read about girls they can relate to but this one isnt really… then again how many of us can say we’re dating a vampire ?
also my target audience is teenage girls 15 and up…to 18. my character is a black girl but her story has nothing to do with her race. there are not many books out like that so….
anyways tell me what you think, here is an intro…be brutal i can take it
thanks in advance.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Today was my last day at Silver Lake High School, I said goodbye to my teachers and collected their signatures and their “good lucks”. I didn’t to clean out my locker because I barely used itl the day went by faster than I liked. On Monday, I would be in different hallways. In the bus I rode silently, thinking about my next school.
Every time I moved, I could not help but to hope just a little that this time things would be a little better.
Once again, my head against the bus window, I hoped. Hoped that maybe this time the girls would be less catty, that people in general would just stop judging me by a glance, because even though I had grown to be comfortable in my aloneness, there were still some times, more often than I like to admit, when I longed to have company. Sometimes, I found myself envying people around me, laughing happily, while I stayed in my corner.
My father and my mother are good looking. They always have been, from what I can from their childhood pictures. My mom is has long thick black that sits graciously in the middle of her back, beautiful light brown eyes and shiny caramel skin.
My father is the tall, dark, handsome type. From him, my sister and I inherited the brown skin.
From a young age, I started to notice that the boys treated me differently. I didn’t have to endure the hair pulling, the name calling and the other pleasant things. Instead, I got “do you want some of my candy Luleadny?” or “I got new Pokémon cards Lulu do you wanna see?”
In eighth grade, the girls also started to notice that I was more popular with the boys even though, I didn’t care.
Slowly, they started leaving me out of their sleepovers. Then I wasn’t allowed to sit with them at lunch because I was “stuck up”. By the end of middle school, I didn’t have any friends. Some girls, I’m sure didn’t think I was stuck up but they also stopped talking to me. I guess they didn’t want to go against the majority.

Susie answers:
Okay, that’s pretty good. Still, it could always be better ^_^
You have a lot of information crammed in a tiny space. Try to spread things out. We don’t need to know everything about your character in the first page. In fact, it’s usually a lot more fun for the reader to figure out the details as they become important to the story.
Also, you need to be careful about showing and not telling. This is one of the hardest rules for writers to follow. Instead of just stating that your character is snubbed by other girls, show it. Have her interact with people. Show how the boys treat her in the hallways. You just have to trust that your readers will be smart enough to figure it out. ^_^ But remember, there’s a time for telling, too. Just be careful when you do it.
Be careful where you introduce information. You can’t just pull it out and stick it where it doesn’t belong. Like I said, you need to introduce this stuff gradually. For example, maybe start describing your parents when their introduced. But do it bit by bit. Or she could pull out a picture of them on the bus. Still, you can’t just have her do that out of no where, either. You’d have to give her a reason. She might not even be the type of person to carry around a picture of her parents in the first place. You have to know your character. But that’s a whole different issue.
Very important: beware of Mary Sue! Nobody likes her. I don’t know if your character is a Mary Sue, but it seemed to be going in that direction. Give her some flaws. Don’t make EVERY guy like her. Have her snub some of the girls who snub her. Trust me, it’s loads of fun.
Once again, good job and good luck!

William asks…
Do any of you remember a diet aid from?
Key Rexall, sold in a box like chocolates, A chewy, stiff caramel enriched with vitamins, called AYDS. One or two with hot tea or coffee before the meal, raised your blood sugar a little, took the edge off, that way you
did not feel very hungry? Sold in 70′s 80′s’
I was a normal weight all my life except childbirth.
I lost the weight after the babies by dieting and exercising. That is all I ever did to lose weight.
Stayed normal between babies. Around 135
to 145. Gained wt once from a marriage problem, and after a couple tries lost it over a period of time, bydiet and exercise. I gained weight from tx for endometriosis and lost it. Stayed down for years. Then
after horrendous upheavals and pesonal problems,
gained a lot of weight. Struggled with cigarettes.
I am fat. I cannot carry weight and hate it. I have
never put a drug in to my mouth that did not cause
me to gain wt either by increasing my appetite, or making me swell. Now I am in a lot of pain, confined
greatly, pretty well in solitary confinement, poverty,
not many outlets. Cannot afford the organization
where I went for so long, to get my wt down, and
went to for company, support and encouragemnt.
I wondered if any of you tried these things and
if you had results with them. I have been craving sugar and carbs to no end. Do you remember if you
craved more if you ate them. I did not a that time.
They did not seem very sweet. One or two at most was all I wanted. Not that tasty.
They were not that sweet, but not filled with artificial sweetener like sorbitol or xylitol. Is there anything
similar on the market today. I cannot eat diet candy
etc., with xylitol or sorbitol w.o. loose stools. That is a common SE of those sweeteners. I am not going to take diet pills. Never have , tried some otc, but cannot
use them. I like to avoid drugs as much as possible.
Are you defensive about having a weight
problem.I did not know what a diet was
until after child birth, then it was ok until another baby. Unless starving, I did not care if I ate or not as a kid unless it was holidays or something special..
I hate being fat worse than being sick.
If I were not so fat, I am sure I would not hurt so much . I would rather be ugly as sin and feel good, than be fat. Never felt well fat.

Susie answers:
Yes, I remember those. I only know of one person who took them, and he did lose weight. I don’t think they are made anymore. There are so many products and promises out there. Weight loss products are big business. If something came along that really worked, it would be front page news.
There is a group called Overeaters Anonymous that is a support group with no charge, I went to a meeting once with a friend, and they passed a basket. When I asked her what to do, she said some donate nothing, some $1, some more. Everyone was very friendly. Might be worth looking into.

Sandra asks…
What do you think about candy given as christmas gifts? (read inside)?
I am wanting to make chocolate dipped pretzel rods, wanna make my own candy apples and some cookies.
What do you think?
Would you be happy if that is what someone gave you for christmas or not?
Thanks

Susie answers:
I think that’s a very nice and yummy idea! It means a lot more that you’re taking time to make something, than if you were to simply buy something. Have fun with it – people will enjoy the treats!
Happy Holidays!

Mandy asks…
Want to make edible gifts for christmas, but not cookies or cakes or candy. Ideas?
One year, I made flavored cooking oil — with garlic cloves, thyme, etc. but I don’t know how to properly seal the bottles and / or if the herbs will “rot.”
Other ideas???
Oh man the spoon idea is GREAT!

Susie answers:
You can make chocolate covered spoons that what I did last year for everyone at the office.
Melt chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl or if you have a double boiler you could use that. Get a bunch of plastic spoons dip them in and set on wax paper. You can even melt white chocolate and put in a zip lock bag, cut a tip off and decorate with faces or lines. Put them in the fridge to harden overnight and then wrap in colored plastic wrap.
Get a bunch of hot cocoa mix and tie them together with a piece of string or ribbon.
Before the chocolate hardens you can even crush some candy canes and sprinkle on the spoons as well.
To tie the spoon to the cocoa mix I used a hole punch in the top corner of each bag. It takes a bit to put them all together but they’re a big hit.

Daniel asks…
where can i buy M&M candy gifts, toys, or dispensers in Austin??

Susie answers:
Well M&M World.com and get stuff online!

Lisa asks…
Where can i buy personalized candy gifts? candy that will let me put personal messages on them?

It’s cool and fun, but sorta expensive.

Donna asks…
no candy valentines gifts?
what are good gifts to get for a 2 1/2 year old girl for Valentines, Please anything but candy.

Susie answers:
How about a small inexpensive toy or two? I know one year they made dolls of Barbie’s youngest sister (Kelly?) and her friends that were inexpensive and dressed in valentines day outfits. I don’t know if My Little Pony is still out or not but look for something like that. These can be found in the toy isle of a drug store or grocery store.

Thomas asks…
I make candy out of my home and Whole Foods just offered to sell it but I can’t handle the volume, what to do?
I have been baking a family receipt candy out of my home for several years now and selling to local shops on a small scale. Whole Foods just offered to sell my product in their stores on a large scale but I can not handle the volume as of now. Any suggestions for my next step? Thanks

Susie answers:
Congrats with picking up the big order.
I do not know how big this order is, but begin to think about looking for help. Maybe get some family members or friends involved.
Here are some options.
1. Call around your town to different restaurants, bakeries, or large kitchens and ask if you can lease cooking space. Right now some restaurants are slow and having extra income would help them.
2. Get a small business loan, find a venture capitalist, or borrow from friends and family so you can get a location.

Donna asks…
Candy Thermometer?
Every time I check local retailers, candy thermometers are either not sold or sold out. Would it be okay if I used a meat thermometer instead? They usually read over 200 degrees fahrenheit anyway. Can’t I just use those to check the temperature of my sugar?

Susie answers:
Probably not a good idea.
Use the candy stages guide. Go to baking 911.com & look through the candy section.
It’ll explain how it’s done ALOT better than I could right now! : )
Oh, here’s a link;
http://www.baking911.com/candy/chart.htm
Good luck!

Maria asks…
How does this sound for a 13 year olds birthday party?
Everyone gets picked up in a limo.
And we drive around town.
Stop at a local candy store, where everyone can buy something under 2 bucks.
Drive over to the movies or laser tag (not sure which one yet)
do that
and then drop everyone off at home at the end
Anything i should add, take away, change?
its a boy/girl party
and at my local candy store you can actually buy a lot for 2 bucks
and i was thinking no more than 10 ppl

Susie answers:
Okay, since its a birthday, let them spend more than 2 bucks.
And laser tag is a great idea. Maybe if the guests are close friends, make it a sleepover.
The limo sounds awesome

Michael asks…
Where can I find chocolate covered popcorn in NE Ohio for Christmas?
I need to find some chocolate covered popcorn as a gift for Christmas. I can’t find any local candy shops here in NE Ohio that sell it. Anyone have any ideas? It’s too late to order online so I have to pick it up somewhere! Help please?

Susie answers:
I know the boy scout’s sell popcorn. They even sell chocolate covered popcorn. Find a boyscout office and you will find a good supply of this popcorn.

Steven asks…
Volunteer work for high school students?
I need to know how to find and contact a local candy stripers’ organization.

Michael asks…
What are some of your favorite Hard Candy cosmetics?

Susie answers:
Glamoflauge Concealer and Welcome Matte Pressed Powder.

Ken asks…
hard candy cosmetics? any good?
i only use cosmetics that do not test on animals, and i just found out that hard candy doesnt, but i dont want to buy some if they are no good.

Susie answers:
Yes they’re good and inexpensive the Eyeshadow are good very long lasting if you use a eye primer . The tinted moisturizer is my favorite very dewey has a lightweight coverage the concealer palette is okay but you can get a better one for the same price.the makeup primer is decent if you have dry skin it can get alittle oily tru at the day so if you have oily skin avoid it.

Nancy asks…
Hard Candy cosmetics?
So I recently bought this new cream-to-powder eyeshadow from Hard Candy cosmetics, and I have yet to use it on my eyes, simply because I want to read reviews of the product first.
The product is called, ‘Eye Candy sparkle cream eyeshadow & glitter eyeliner’. I bought it in a color called ‘High Beam’.
http://i.walmartimages.com/i/p/00/67/60/45/60/0067604560040_215X215.jpg
There’s a picture of it.
Before anyone insults my color choice or says it’ll look “ugly,” it’s for cheerleading. Our uniforms have gold on them and cheerleading makeup looks ridiculous, I won’t lie. Naturally, I bought ridiculous makeup.
Back to my original point.
So has anyone tried this product yet? Can someone give me an extensive review of it? How long it wore, application tips, etc. etc.
Thanks.

Susie answers:
I bought the one in blue and I wasn’t too impressed with the staying power. Since it is a silicone type product, it didn’t really dry. So the glitter creases a bit. I would try it with a loose glitter on top to see if it sets better. Or sit under the hair dryer on low. I did not try it with a shadow primer but given the gloss texture, I don’t thinks it would matter.
I would also depend on where you are using it. Anywhere on the face that was alot of movement will crease. But that stuff is still going to sparkle even in lines. That is the good aspect of the cream shadow, the glitter can’t fall all over your face.
I do like Hard Candy’s presence in Walmart. Their nailpolish is pretty good and the lipsticks are very pigmented…The colored mascara is good too.

Betty asks…

Susie answers:
Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin
Hard Candy’s Fortune lip gloss its just adorable.

Sandra asks…
Hard Candy Cosmetics question…?
So I know that Hard Candy stopped selling in department stores and Sephora and are in Walmart now, but is the quality the same now as it was then? Specifically are their lip glosses as good as they used to be?

Susie answers:
The quality is the same they just down size since no one was buying it when it was expensive so the switch to a lower pricing.

Ken asks…
Raising money at local elementary school?
Tell me about this idea- I currently dont attend public school but I could do this at the local elementary schoola across the street from my house. What do you think if I raised money for the Make-A-Wish foundation and in exchange for donations I’d give them a candy bar or something like that?Like set up a little table or something. What do you think??

Susie answers:
You need to discuss your idea with school administration to see how they feel about what you are wanting to do. Once you give them your idea they should be able to help think of what is the best action to take.
You might also consider the Ronald McDonald program and the Trick or Treat for UNICEF program.

Carol asks…
what is the name of this candy and where can i buy it?
I had this rope like candy in Scotland it was sometimes covered with sour sugar and had some kind of filling inside that complemented the outer flavor. I recently was able to buy some at my local county fair and it bugs me that I don’t know what it’s called or where I can buy it! Please help!
they look exactly like Wonka Kazoozles only longer.

Susie answers:
Sounds kind of like Shoe String Licorice:

or Sour Belts:

Donna asks…
whats your favorite candy bar? dark chocolate, anyone? hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
i loooooooooove reeses cups. i also loooove hershey’s dark chocolate

Susie answers:
I love Dark and White Chocolate.
I think my favorite candybars are the Heath bars or Abba Zabas, although the Abba Zabas are not chocolate, they are chewy taffy filled with a rich creamy peanut butter center. Yummy! But they are rare to find anymore.

Donald asks…
GIRLS answer this about chocolate candy?
some girls say milk chocolate is too sweet, and that dark chocolate is more balanced out between flavor/sweetness. i personally like milk chocolate, and think that dark chocolate is bland, but i’m a guy. when i’m getting to is, which is better to romance a girl? like if your lover could only give you 1 of the 2 for the rest of your life, would you choose milk chocolate candy or dark chocolate candies?

Susie answers:
Milk chocolate! But that is just my personal opinion. Just simply ask the girl which is her favorite to make sure that you get the type she will enjoy

Sandy asks…
Does anybody know where I can find a candy bar that has milk, white and dark chocolate in it?
My mom has mentioned that she used to love a candy bar that was made of layers of all 3 different types of chocolate, but cant find them anywhere. Her birthday is coming up and I would love to get some for her, I’m just not sure where to find them. Please Help!

Susie answers:
Maybe you could try asking around different Stores. I know Cadbury had a double decker bar, but that doesnt fit your details

Laura asks…
How to make a glow in the dark candy, chewing gum, chocolate? Thanks!?

Susie answers:
In places like Party City, Certain Grocery Stores, and other places, they have glow in the dark food coloring. However, it isn’t;’t going to glow very well. What makes things glow in the dark is phosphor, which is toxic. So you won’t find many glow in the dark foods and candies.

Charles asks…
What kind of dark chocolate for chocolate-coated candies?
I don’t want to get couverture. Instead I want at pretty good quality dark chocolate in the grocery store for a candy coating. Can I just melt the Hershey’s dark chocolate bar – will that work? Or should I look into more fancier names like Lindt?
Also, years ago I made chocolate covered easter egg and we used parafin with the chocolate coating. Is that necessary?
Thanks

Susie answers:
If you are gonna use the Hershey bars, yes, the paraffin is necessary to make it reset properly, otherwise it will be too soft and sticky.
I use the paraffin to thin any chocolate coating and to make it set properly without keeping it in the fridge all the time.
I use Ghiradelli chocolates. They are available in grocery stores and Sams, Costco, etc. Lindt is available at kitchen shoppes and fancier cake supply shops.

Chris asks…
Does anyone know of any other music that sounds anything like Christina Aguilera’s Candyman?
I love the track and know that it’s based on the Second World War period style of dance music but don’t know where to start looking for anything else in a similar style. I’d be very grateful for any pointers anyone can give me please.

Susie answers:
I think the sound of that music is more of the Roaring 20′s. That swing/jazz/bebop style. It does kind of have a mix of that 40′s style too.

Robert asks…
What was the meaning behind the phrase ‘Sweets for the sweet’ in the movie Candyman?
That phrase showed up twice in the movie. Was it just there because it looked/sounded cool or was there a meaning behind it? Thanks.

Susie answers:
It’s a quote from “Hamlet”:
“Sweets to the sweet, farewell!
I hop’d thou shouldst have been my Hamlet’s wife:
I thought thy bride-bed to have deck’d, sweet maid,
And not have strew’d thy grave.”
I don’t think it has any meaning other than the “sweet” connotation of candy and the famous quote. The “sweets” in the Hamlet quote are actually referring to funeral bouquets, but the “sweets to the sweet” could be a sick-joke reference from Candyman since you can see candy with razor blades embedded in it in Candyman’s lair.

Maria asks…
Has anyone ever said candyman 5 times in the mirror?
I know it’s only a film but I still wouldn’t say it just in case. Any one else feel the same?

I’ve done that before but nothing happened.

Susie answers:
Love that commercial because it’s his signature thing to do. But everyone doing it is kinda cheesy, at least that’s what i think. Answer to the question: Cornershop “Candyman”

Thomas asks…
Have you ever stared into the mirror and said CANDYMAN 5 times?

Betty asks…
Who is making their own gift baskets this year?
I started it to save money (you can buy more stuff for the money than what comes in those pre-made gift sets) but I’m really getting into it! You can make them much more personal too. For my dad I am making a basket with barbeque sauces and for my brother I am making one with movies and popcorn and I even found some of those movie box candies at wal mart (only 97 cents each!) and a big popcorn bowl to put it in.

Susie answers:
I love to do this too. You’re right its so much more personal than the premade baskets are. I have done many baskets so I’ll just name a few.
Pasta Dinner:
1. Big bowl (used as basket)
2. Box of pasta
3. 2 Jars of sauce
4. Parmesan cheese (in the shaker)
5. A wooden spoon
6. A pair of tongs
7. A dish towel
Snow Day: (Always fun for kids)
1. A big coffee mug
2. Sudoko or crossword books
3. A puzzle
4. Hot cocoa or apple cider mix
5. Cookies
6. A movie
7. A scarf and gloves
Chocolate lover:
1. Hot cocoa
2. Coffee mug or travel mug
3. Chocolates
4. Chocolate covered nuts
5. Chocolate covered pretzels
6. A chocolate scented candle
7. Chocolate scented lotion/ bubble bath
Bookworm:
1. A set of original books (Pride and Prejudice, The Secret Garden, The Chronicles of Narnia, Tarzan of the Apes, etc.)
2. A tea cup
3. Tea bags
4. A fancy book mark
5. A reading light
6. Gift card to Barnes and Noble
Romantic Evening
1. 2 wine glasses
2. A bottle of wine
3. Chocolates
3. Crackers
4. Cheese
5. A romantic movie (I like classics myself)
Hope this helps!

John asks…
What are some good ideas for holiday gift baskets?
I want to keep the cost minimal, since I am making around 8 of these for various people…
Ideas I already plan to include –
Homemade Apple Butter
Mugs w/ cocoa mix/tea/coffee (One of the local dollar stores had really cute mugs ^_^)
Chocolate-coated Coffee Spoons
Candy canes made to look like reindeer
Holiday Cookies/a loaf of a sweet bread such as pumpkin or banana
I am pretty handy in the kitchen, but not as gifted with sewing/knitting crafts. Any other ideas would be appreicated! Thanks!

Susie answers:
Look for recipe for gift jars. Make nice basket with a couple of jarred mixes with instructions, a couple of cute potholders and some wooden spoons and maybe a silicon spatula.
I’ve done baskets with nice teas, homemade cocoa mix, homemade biscotti and a couple of cute mugs from the dollar store.

Charles asks…
I am making gift baskets for the families on my list this year any ideas of what I can include?
So far I have a picture frame with our sons christmas pic, candy canes, and some type of homemade treat like muffins..
What else would be good and cheap to include?…I have 10 baskets to make!
also, does anyone have a yummy muffin or bannana/pumpkin bread recipe?

Susie answers:
I always like to include chapstick at this time of year, everyone needs it-make sure to buy ones that don’t look/smell girly for the boys/men in the family to use.
Hot cocoa is always a hit as is tea or coffee. It goes well with cookies, muffins, etc.

Steven asks…

Helen asks…
Is it illegal to give out cookies for halloween?
I know there has been the danger of candy that has drugs or poison in it, but is it illegal to give out homemade cookies to trick-or-treaters? I made a batch of sugar cookies just for tonight and don’t want to waste them.
We live in a tiny friendly town where everyone knows everone else, but we just moved here. I ended up giving the cookies out and everyone was thrilled by them!

Susie answers:
One year we made popcorn balls, we put our address label on the baggie.

Richard asks…
So, Folks: ‘Fess up: How much Halloween Candy did you “sample” this weekend?
……And what the heck DO YOU DO with all the leftovers?? Anybody got a good recipe for a “candy cake/cookie/pan dessert?? I can’t possibly eat this much candy, AND I AM NOT GONNA EAT IT ALL……Thanks!!!!
Chef Christopher
Libby, when I read your answer, at first, I though: what a DARNED smart dentist!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Susie answers:
None, I was a good girl, of course I replaced it with beers. Call around Christopher, I have a dentist in my area that pays a dollar a pound for your leftover halloween candy and sends it to our troops. Of course no one takes the money, but he ships it out to the people serving. Check around, or do it yourself

Sandy asks…
Any suggestions for my Halloween party and menu?
So, you helped me with my party outline, now I need help with the details!
Need scary names for each item on the following menu:
Meatballs (in chilli sauce & grape jelly)?
Cocktail wieners (in chilli sauce & grape jelly)?
Roasted pumpkin seeds (spicy & sweet)
Devilled eggs
Blue tortilla chips & salsa
Veggies & ranch dip
Kitty litter cake
Halloween sugar cookies
Halloween crackers, candy & cookies
Black punch w/ice hands (grape & orange kool-aid & ginger ale)
For your information we are also having:
Pumpkin liquor
Orange jello shots
Trick or Treat shots (M&M, Tootsie Roll, Sweet Tarts, Skittles, Candy)
Activities include:
Costume contest (1st place & runner up)
Apple bob (1st place for most apples & runner up for 1st apple retrieved)
Pumpkin hunt (1st place for most pumpkins & runner up for specially marked pumpkin)
Pumpkin pass (like hot potato, no hands, if dropped both out, music stops person with it out) (1st place last one standing & runner up)
Feel free to add any suggestions or additions! I am trying to look for alternatives to the meatball and weiner sauce if you have any ideas!
Oooh…how about a pumpkin margarita recipe???

Susie answers:
Monster Meatballs or Brainballs
Stewed Fingers – hot dogs
Roasted Fingernails (Sweet) Roasted Toenails (Spicy) – Pumpkin Seeds
Devilled Eyeballs – add a piece of sliced olive to the center of the yellow to make it look like an eye.
Rotten Veggies & Rancid Ranch Dip
Mud & Blood Punch or Witch’s Brew
Here’s a recipe I made. Fresh Grave cup cakes. You make regular cupcakes. The cake batter can be any flavor. Use chocolate icing. Then you crush Oreoson top so it looks like fresh dirt. Then take a single piece of a Hershey’s bar and stick in the cup cake (near the edge so it looks like a tombstone) with the smooth side facing you. Viola you have a fresh grave. You can add gummy worms sticking out of the “dirt” to each one for extra color and flavor.
The sauce for the wieners and meatballs is actually really good. Just add a dash of BBQ sauce!
For some other cool ideas (like shurken apple heads to decorate the tables) try this website : http://www.fabulousfoods.com/holidays/halloween/halloween.html
Have fun at your party!

Lisa asks…
what do you do with all the candy after halloween?
does anyone have a creative recipe to rid all these snickers and Hershey bars. can i chop them up and throw them into a yellow cake or cookies….please any ideas would be great, it will just get thrown out otherwise. I don’t know if food banks takes a donation of loose candy. in which i would feel stupid offering such !

Susie answers:
Yes, food banks will take donations of loose candy as long as it is wrapped. If there are kids in a family, they will add a few pieces as a special treat when the family gets food items.

Mary asks…
Will I gain weight from all the halloween candy?
I ate a lot of sweets today. About 15 pieces of small sized chocolates, couple bites of ice cream, and one cookie.
its already 10:14 and im still eating

Susie answers:
Dont worry about the weight gain. How much can you possibly gain in one day? Do some extra workouts in the gym tomorrow, and you will be fine.
